Welcome to Your Lawn....
We've compiled this website to bring you information on
caring for your lawn.
Autumn is now upon us, and as the nights grow shorter the
height of the mower cut can be raised, and the frequency of
cutting decreased. Work done now will help your lawn survive
the winter and be in better condition next season.

Autumn is also a good time to dethatch and aerate your lawn
- expecially necessary if drainage is a problem. This can be
done with a rake and fork or with an aerator as available
here.
Look to applying an autumn lawn feed - this has less
nitrogen in than the spring feed, but high in potassium it
will strengthen the root systems to survive the winter,
and allows your lawn to be in good shape for early next
year.
If you're looking to sow a new lawn, dress it with a 1/4"
mixture made up of 50:50 sieved compost and sharp sand.
Either use a rake or your lawnmower on a high setting
to pick up leaves off the lawn - great for composting.
Does your lawn need a boost -
here's the answer.
Using a lawn weedkiller during the winter months is
generally ineffective, as the chemicals need the weeds to be in
active growth.
Check the seasonal lawncare
calendar for guidance at any time of year.
